Major Players in Disaster Relief
How Do I Get Involved?
A TIO Report
Another natural disaster. Another shooting. Another hate crime. Another humanitarian crisis. These disasters are all too common. We see them daily – on social media, in the news, on the web. On a daily basis this can be overwhelming. Our hearts ache for those who are affected, but we often feel at a loss for what to do, especially when it comes to large-scale disasters.
So where do we start? You can start here. Many faith-based organizations do incredible disaster response work. Below you’ll find a list of some of the major players. They would love for you to get involved.
TIO will be republishing this article next month in a second issue devoted to interfaith responses to disaster. Send your suggestions of other disaster response programs that should be added to the list when we publish next month to firstname.lastname@example.org.
