June 2016 - Featuring Eboo Patel

Exploring Interreligious Relations &
Interfaith Culture

June is month four in TIO’s five-month focus on writers from different religious traditions who have given a particularly rich stream of articles to this publication. This month Eboo Patel, a Muslim, is featured. Patel, who received his doctorate at Oxford University, is the founder and president of the Interfaith Youth Core, a Chicago-based organization which has offered interfaith leadership training to thousands of students on hundreds of higher-education campuses in the United States. He has also emerged as a leading interfaith thinker whose third book, Interfaith Leadership: A Primer, will be published this August. This month’s TIO contains excerpts from the book.

In July, Donald Frew, a Wiccan and distinguished interfaith activist will be featured. TIO will return to its standard format in September.
